Sad day in the history of burgers... They have 2 patties both used to be same size, but today i opened it up one of them was smaller than the other... have seen this trend in many other places but I was heart broken to see them doing it too... Oh well, I guess will have fill up on them fries...
 
I would say they're doing it in preservation of your health, but then they throw the over sized container of fries that bleeds grease through the brown paper bag they give you which you have to run out to the car before it tare through.
 
Yea - if the bag isn't filled to the top, and the grease line isn't at the top... that's when it will be a sad day. Luckily I've only eaten there once a few years ago. My arteries have just recovered.
 
Call them out on it. Seriously contact the store or corporate, hit them up on facebook/twitter or something and see what they say. If people start calling these companies on shit like this then maybe they'll stop doing it.

Reminds me, bought some clothes, that were allegedly "new and improved" and of course were worse in every single way. Fit was woefully worse, and the fabric was blatantly worse (thinner and nowhere near as soft). Need to figure out the best place to bitch them out on it.
 
Pretty much corporate food policy is to offer cheap prices and coupons before or during a price increase.

When you use a BOGO Free coupon people don’t tend to notice the 15 to 20% price increase. Then after the coupons all expire, you get sticker shock from the new prices.

Or the alternative is to cut down in the quantity. Sometimes they will raise prices perhaps 10% and then cut quantity 10% too.

This is how most food restaurants raise their profits.
 
Fine by me, five guys sucks anyway. Its literally all grease and a little burger on the side. They might sprinkle a few granuals of taste in there somewhere, havent found that yet though. Oh, and the fries are some of the worst I have ever had. Always soggy amd tasteless.

I don't mind a greasy burger, but yeah, I've tried two different locations and both times it was far below expectations.

Now consider the average profit margin of a restaurant is 2-6%, those practices you mention are immaterial.

I seriously think some of you guys believe all businesses are just swimming in cash and every dollar of sales means 99 cents of profit.

THIS!!!! from my experience the only people who think that chipotle is good are people who are too scared to the "other" side of town.
