Even former President Jimmy Carter dislikes Hillary Clinton. These were his exact words: "The novelty of electing the first woman President of America should not outweigh our duty of electing an honest and ethical President".

False. See post #8.

I tend to agree. Which honest and ethical candidate is he advocating for so that I may join him at the ballot box?

For all his other flaws, Jimmy Carter is one tough bastard. He was born into farming, and built homes with his own two hands when he left the Oval Office.

He also wasn't corrupt. It's a shame he gets all the blame for Iran becoming one of our enemies when Eisenhower is held up as being some amazing president.

I'm a liberal and I too think Eisenhower was good.. he taxed the rich at 90% and gave something the country still uses 56 years after he left the Presidency.. the national highway system.

That's what we need to do.. tax Trump and his billionaire friends at 90% and give the country we'll use for the next 56 years.. college and healthcare.

There was also that part where he saw Iran's democracy dismantled and replaced with a dictatorship. It was simmering for years but it didn't blow until Carter. He gets all the blame. All we hear out of Eisenhower's party these days is how we're not being tough enough on Iran. Their pres candidate in 08 sang about bombing them. Is there any wonder the US is seen as evil abroad?

Destroying democracy instead of facilitating it is about the most unamerican thing a president can do.
