I never really used Bing for anything other then cashback during that breif period, but yesterday I ended up using their map service and was blown away at how smooth and user-friendly it is. Turn on "Automatic" for map type and just zoom in and out randomly, it's pretty neat to see the perspective re-adjust as you get closer. I don't know if directions are any better or worse then Google, and perhaps this isn't technically Bing's map service, but I like it!
