Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical
$9.97 - $10 MIR = FREE!!!

B&M only.

UPDATE:
The price is back to $29.99 now. There is a new $15 Best Buy MiR for this mouse.
For those of you who were able to get this for $9.97, you can get some more by trying to pricematch with your receipt.
So.. you make $5 after the BB MIR.

$9.97 after PM - $15 Bestbuy MIR = -$5

Both rebates require the original UPC cut out from the box so I guess you can only get one.

Enjoy!

It wasn't in our local flyer. They had a Logitech optical, but at a much higher price.

I think I might swing by, too. I added one of these to a machine a few weeks ago and I love it. It's nice not having to use a mousepad and it never "skips" like the mechanical ones do. The red LED glow is cool, too.

Hope it's there on sale!

:)

Yes and No. Yes, both threads are about the same product. No, this one is free after rebate.

<< In the future, when referring to B&Ms, please give the city/location, item SKU, any info about whether or not it was advertised in the newspaper, etc. It makes everyone's life easier. >>

There's a profile icon (the pair of glasses) on the upper right hand corner of the screen. Click on it, it will tell you the location. item SKU? I didn't buy one so I wouldn't know. Don't have the ads so i don't know if it's advertised in there or not. Sorry I can't make your life any easier.

Hi Tung,

Thanks for the post.

I figured out your location easily.

You did the right thing by posting this as a new thread.

You certainly made my life easier..

Picked up a couple in Minneapolis (one for me, one for a "friend"). Computer had the price at 29.99, but the manager readily changed it to 9.97 and said it was a price match to a competitor and that the signs printed on the shelf and the computer price don't always agree . . .

Thanks for a hell of a deal.

BTW, the Richfield BB had at least 20 of these left on the shelf!

For those who got this, can you check if the $10 rebate is still valid? It seems to me that $10 rebate offer expired 02/28/2002, while there is $5 rebate going until end of May... Sorry if I'm wrong. Can someone scan and post the $10 rebate form if it is actually valid? Thanks for this great posting.

Cambridge MA store has lots of them in for $29.99 with a $10 MIR valid until June.

Where are you PMing to $9.97? CC.com shows $39.99 ...

Well, they had the mouse at my BB, both with and without the rebate sticker, but it rang up at $29.99 so I passed.

The ".97" ending price indicates reponse to a local competitor. The mouse is $29.99 at CircuitCity so no competition here.

Bummer!

<< optical mice suck >>

I agree. I've always liked using a mirror as a mouse pad, and I haven't found a single optical mouse that'll work for sh1t. I've spoken with techs at Logitech and Microsoft and they always want to blame my mouse pad. Yeah right. Why don't you guys make a decent mouse rather than blame my mouse pad.

(You may need to have read some of the reviews on Amazon and elsewhere to fully appreciate my humor.)

Incidentally, that $10 rebate is what came stuck on my *Wheel Mouse Optical*, the same one Tung initially posted. (E.g. Ambidextrous useage, black base).

In OD it's $24.95, $14.95+tax AR.

I just filled out the rebate form, the amount is $10 and the expiration is 6/30/2002. The rebate is a Microsoft rebate and it is a peel-off sticker on the box.

Apparently not all BB's are offering these at 9.97. See my post above. The shelf at my BB was marked 9.97 and the computer rang up 29.99. It took a couple of minutes to get the correct price at the cash register.
