So we just had an awesome battle. We started sieging a WH really just to get a fight because we couldn't find a good fight. We hit all their POCOs, but they didn't defend. The next day we then hit all 4 of their POSs and bubbled them up. For the last 2 days we have been holding WH control waiting on their POSs to come out of protection, and tonight they finally brought a fleet. Which resulted in this unbelievable one-sided destruction that we rained on them:

We were completely outnumbered, and yet we still killed them.

We had some pretty good action the other night.

Had a small RR veng fleet (maybe 6 venge's and 4 others) that was mighty successful
Battle reports are a bit jumbled as usual but you'll get the gist:

Our fleet of 10 vs a fleet of say, 30-40 frigs/cruisers in a plex. We rofl'd them, then 4 cruisers (3 SFIs and a Thorax) came in and we popped them, too. The 2 guys from OMGROFLSTOMP were not involved with us, and are just other kills from the system. Also, Bahamut420 did not fall in the fight, it was an earlier/later kill.

Same fleet of ours (though we had maybe 3-4 people join us) took on an IVY fleet of probably 30ish again. I don't believe we lost anything to IVY in the engagement and took out what you see in the report.

A few minutes later as we were looting field, a 10 man BS fleet jumped on us, mostly Abaddons and an Apoc/Scorp. We melted the Apoc/Scorp and then they cyno'd an Archon in on top of our frig fleet (though we did have a friendly single BS leeroy our way).

Long story short, our 10-14 man fleet (a few RR vengs, some misc frigs, and a cruiser or two) dropped a 30-40 man wartarget fleet. Shortly after we dropped a 20-30ish man IVY gang with T2 logi. Then we forced a 10-12 man BS fleet to drop an archon on us after we dropped their Apoc and Scorp.

One of our fleet members fraps'd much of it (think her fraps cut out during the IVY fight (it was rather long). Nothing fancy, just some music, battle coms, and the pewing.

Every time I think about getting back into Eve, I remember how long it took me to get where I was and I say fuck no. That said, it was a fun game while I played.

Well, if you got out correctly, you either kept your characters, or you sold them for ISK. In which you can simply activate your old account and buy a new character...

I haven't played in years now, but what the hell kind of fit is that carrier? No rigs at all and dual tanked? Why spend so much on a ship, and not even buy rigs? Why not at least fit it properly?

I believe the term is "failfit." Though, I'm not sure that comes close enough to how bad that fit actually is. It looks like maybe it was a missioning fit that someone slapped a quick triage module on? I have no idea, there's so much wrong with that fit it's mind numbing. Triage and drone control units? Dual tanked? No rigs? I don't even.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I still have my characters, and two carriers that I have never used in combat. I think I will log on and try to hotdrop someone for fun before I cancel completely.

Back when carriers were cheaper, and insurance payouts made losing the hull essentially a minor inconvenience, I used to drop basic t2 fitted carriers on stuff for lulz when insurance was expiring. 😛 I "saved" some isk, had a few giggles (and some kills), and generally a few people (usually noobs) enjoyed a carrier kill. Win-win.

I wish I didn't sell my Rorqual. Now that would have been an awesome thing to drop on someone. I so wanted to hull tank one and use it as bait. They had an ungodly amount of hull HP when fitted to hull tank.

Yeah we were laughing about that one ourselves. Basically I think they fit whatever the hell they had on hand since we had already put their POSs into invuln, which shutdown all their storage. They warped the carrier on to the field after the fight had already begun when they saw that we were popping their ships even with the 9 guardians that they had. They never figured out the fact that we were sensor damping them (or if they did, the guardians never passed that information up to the FC calling targets). So it was taking them an extra 45 seconds to lock (without sensor boosters with scan resolution scripts which they did not have fit). And in that 45 seconds we could pretty much pop most of their ships (had to do some overloads on certain ships).

The best part of that carrier was that it was in a C2 wormhole, which meant they had to build it there carting in all the blue-prints and materials 😛

Just reactivated my account after 4 years...this should be interesting...

Wish I could find an article that shows all the changes between 09 and now.

Huh...logged in to see that I went inactive sitting in a Nidhoggur...interesting.

I'm gonna need some help navigating this game before I undock. Wiki, here I come.

Should probably find a Corp asap

Yeah since you need a cyno alt to even move that sucker... Might be best to simply keep it docked up and buy something else to get yourself in a corp you trust to not get you blown up or attempt to steal from you (i.e. a corp that accepts your app, gets you to move you Nid to their space, and then boots you from corp and then kill or ransom you).
