The whole glass cannon stealth bomber tactic is officially dead. I lost one in null sec last night when every cruiser in a plex switched aggro from my Tengu to my Manticore at once. Time to figure out a new way to do this...

Simple, 2 tengus.

Yeah. The problem is it's tough to get a Tengu that has a decent tank, good DPS and carries a salvager, analyzer and at least a prototype cloaking device. Here's the best setup I've been able to come up with so far:

[Tengu, DPS Complex Tengu]
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II

10MN Afterburner II
Kinetic Deflection Amplifier II
Thermic Dissipation Amplifier II
Medium Shield Booster II
Shield Boost Amplifier II

Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Prototype Cloaking Device I

Medium Bay Loading Accelerator I
Medium Core Defense Field Purger I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

Tengu Defensive - Adaptive Shielding
Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay
Tengu Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir
Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
Tengu Electronics - CPU Efficiency Gate

I'm not thrilled with the tank but it should be good enough as long as my heavily tanked Tengu draws the initial aggro. I'm assuming I don't need to worry about all the NPCs switching their fire at once?

You might consider running RR on each for your tank. Then you can can have identical setups with more overall DPS than a local rep system.

hehe, ain't it great? But you know, CCP Devs, most of them are pretty drunk half the time. They waste time on stupid shit like this. Bounty hunting? WTF? Buffing Destroyers? (yeah lets go cruising in our Dessies! LOL) Game is getting really lame.

Fix Low Sec. Add more contested Null Sec space. Give us Jove love. Bring back Nano ships. And get your mitts off the Cane FFS.

I don't know about you but destroyer roams are fun as all hell. Tons of DPS for the price. They're the basically tier 3 frigates. Tons of dps, lowered tank.

I'm looking forward to bounty hunting. Killing people not paying attention in Empire is going to great.

Also they're never going to give Jove space. Jove space is a developer node. Death of nano was a good thing. We still have nano ships, just not 23kms fights.

I thought about that but I want one Tengu that's really fitted out for scouting & avoiding gate camps. You can check out the setup I'm using here:

Fitting out both Tengus that way wouldn't be very efficient because of the massive DPS hit that covert Tengus take.

Pretty much this.

One thing I noticed after logging on today is that my bounty was gone. I mentioned that to a buddy, and he told me his was gone as well. I wonder if the patch reset bounties on accident. Also, when someone added a bounty to me, I actually got a mail telling me wbo added the bounty! That is pure awesomeness, as I always had to guess who I managed to piss off before.

How is the game these days? I was just browsing the forums and I haven't played since 2010. I have a 50m SP carrier/BS pvp pilot. Was curious as to your thoughts as to how things have evolved.

I think all of my stuff is in a station somewhere in 0.0 haha...

They reset all bounties for retribution for the implementation of the new bounty system😉

Well got my stuff sorted out and got my bearings going. Had an old osprey that I used for mining that got nerfed so can't fit 3 miners anymore so sold that and made a couple mil isk and sold some of the stuff I had scattered over system. Got an old Moa and Merlin so scraped everything I had together on the Moa and running. It ain't much of a fit with 3 250mm railguns and 2 dual 150mm railguns and 3 drones but it's working so far for lvl 2 mission.

Had a "minor" issue earlier with the client disconnecting for w/e reason in the middle of a mission it disconnected. By the time I cam back it was with just a couple of bars of structure. Managed to warp out by the skin of my teeth!

Does someone have any general advice for fitting a Moa for pve? Really basic, I don't have a lot of isk to use up yet.

Apparently Retribution has resulted in a flood of clueless new players. 5 kills in the past 24 hours (although only 3 show up in Battleclinic because their killboard doesn't recognize the new frigate types.)

The Venture is the mining frigate that looks like a forklift. I think the guy I killed in it was AFK (in low-sec!) because he didn't try to run away.

The new kill rights system is interesting. I didn't really think about it until I podded a guy in low sec yesterday. I then get a notification saying that he'd made kill rights to me available to anyone for a million isk, which means that I might as well have a big, flashing "kill me" sign in high sec. Whoops 😱

Switch to your empty clone, and I will kill you and even give you the bounty. Or you could have your alt do it so that you don't have to worry about high sec.

My plan is to have my alt blow up a newbie ship belonging to my main character. Kill rights only allow you to hit a ship BTW, not a pod.

Also, you don't get a bounty for nailing someone with kill rights. You have to pay the owner of the kill right in order to attack someone. I like this new system, I just wish I'd figured it out before I podded someone.
