Yeah, we are still around. Send me an eve-mail if you are interested and I will likely accept you. My eve name is Martimus28.

Here is our killboard: http://nawti.evekb.co.uk/?a=home

Our efficiency is really good this week, because Raiden. moved in to our space and they have lots of expensive ships that they don't know how to fly. That Bhaalgorn was titan bridged in with a bunch of nano ships on our bait Abbadon. One they engaged, the Abaddon pointed the Bhaalgorn, while the rest of our fleet showed up and killed him. the 7-8 nano fit BSes/T2s all warped off, but I got the target I was going for.

Then of course there was the fight in Gond that was also a case of them baiting us, so they could light a cyno, then us lighting a counter and killing all of them: http://nawti.evekb.co.uk/?a=kill_related&kll_id=1850947

But the real measure of how fail they are is the fight in Naka. Just look at the killboard, and you will see that we had no business winning this fight. What you won't see is that they also had an Archon on the field, and a few other recons/hacs that managed to get away. We had around equal numbers, but we were all cheap BCs, and they were not. I still can't understand how they just got slaughtered like that.

That's crazy. Looks like they have no business flying that stuff. I just re-upped my account. I'm currently in a corp that was only me and my friend, so I may drop that and send you a mail about joining since he doesn't play anymore. Currently docked up in Motsu with my mission boat and all my blueprints + other random stuff. She can fly most Amarr stuff include a Strategic Cruiser. I mainly mission in Gallente stuff though since I have T2 Sentry Drones to play with.

Last played over 4 years ago and I'm trying to retrieve my account info. if i can get it back i might want in on some AT eve action. If not I'll be a complete new char and prob wont do anything relevant for a while :/

Ugh prob not going to get my old account, is there a going rate of ISK per SP if I wanted to buy a toon? or what could i expect to get for 1 bil

Incarna fallout thread:

Multiple issues, but the real concern that needs to be addressed is that CCP has lied to the playerbase about microtransactions. Per a leaked internal newsletter, CCP is considering or intending to sell functional (and not just vanity) game items for Aurum.

It appears that there's a shitstorm going on in the eveonline forums.

No huge surprise to me after hearing that DUST was going to have microtransactions. Also, as soon as I heard about AUR/PLEX conversion it sounded like CCP just wanted a solid ISK sink/PLEX demand increase. If they start having microtransactions for functional items, I might just quit. I absolutely hate that shit.

I don't get why the massive hubbub about the cost of vanity items. It's obvious CCP doesn't want the introduction of this stuff to absolutely destroy the in game economy, specifically plexes. If the cost is below a certain point, the cost per plex would shoot up as people would have reached their willingness to pay cost and would buy/sell plexes to get these items, which would destroy the plex market.

The hubbub is because the internal CCP newsletter seems to indicate that they will be introducing microtransactions in the future for non-vanity (i.e. functional items like ships, modules, etc.) items. That's a game changer.

The complaints and cost of vanity items is almost a non issue to why they are now in damage control mode and being protested. The internal leaked document that got out has been confirmed legit by CCP themselves. In that document they stated many ways to charge players for ships/ammo/modules/etc for aurum. It was basically an internal document on how to best extort as much cash out of their player base as possible.

Then the whole mess of Incarna. We haven't seen a real content patch that had to deal with internet space ships in nearly 18 months, sov changes/lag fixes/etc are bug problems not content. A year ago CCP said microtransactions would never been in Eve and look now.

Isnt the microtransactions for functional items still just rumors?

I saw some videos for the capt quarters, it looks sweet. I think EVE has so much potential but the overall mechanics of the game blow imo. A space ship game where you dont really get to fly space ships. Or aim your own guns.

No it isn't rumors. The document that leaked talking about it has been confirmed by CCP to be legit. That is the main reason things are now happening.

Think that would be a first for a pay to play mmo.

No, unfortunately not. The real-cash purchasable mounts for World of Warcraft are functional items, and EverQuest II and other games have things like XP poitions you can buy.

I think it would be a big mistake for CCP to sell any sort of item that's manufacured, mined or looted by players. That would put CCP in competition with the players, even if they're distinct items from what players can provide. It would be unfair, and likely end up being very unfair. resulting in serious damage to the free economy that makes the game so unique.

Hmm... on the other hand, selling tech 2 BPOs for aurum... That would be soo evil...

Well CCP had a chance to at least slow down or even clam down the wildfire with their blog post they were promising. Instead it has made everything worse and now it seems people are trying to redouble their efforts and now the US timezone players are starting to log on and more logging on over the evening. Things are just downright bad in the worst way for CCP currently.

Yeah, that was a pretty weak response that did not address AT ALL the main concerns of the playerbase.

There are no non vanity items in wow and eq is a f2p game (and even if not xp boost really wouldn't qualify as those are useless at max level where people care about these things)

I gave an example of a non-vantity item for sale for real cash in World of Warcraft.

eq is a f2p game (and even if not xp boost really wouldn't qualify as those are useless at max level where people care about these things)

EverQuest II is still mainly a pay to play game, the free servers are seperate. The XP potions, which are not vanity items, are available to buy for real cash on the subscription only servers.

As I said, EVE would be far from the first subscription MMO to offer functional non-vanity items for sale with real cash. Althoug you could use rationalizations like yours to say it's actually a free to play game, or that things SP potions or a faster ship wouldn't really "qualify".

The sad thing is that the logged in numbers still aren't what I would expect after an expansion was just released. I haven't seen anything above 47k.

I just canceled 2 accounts guys. It was a good run. I'll keep playing till the time runs out but thats it. I'm not throwing good money after bad and there are shit tons of good games coming out. Its very clear from that blog that microtransactions for bonuses during play are coming and i dont intend to be there for it.

I cancelled my 3 accounts for now, I will never play with functional MTs.

Are they faster than other in-game mounts though? I thought it was just cosmetic.

I dunno, they're faster than not having a mount, or one of the actual vanity mounts that don't increase your speed at all. That's what counts, they're functional, and you pay real life cash to get one, instead of in game gold. If CCP offered a ship, say a Rifter or a Machariel with a different skin for sale in Noble Exchange, would you call that an non-functional vanity item?
