Maybe something like this?

Regenerative Plating I
Warp Scrambler I

'Malkuth' Rocket Launcher I

Small Projectile Metastasis Adjuster I
Rifter Drifter has some good suggestions on how to outfit a Rifter, although I think his fits are a little dated.
Maybe this is just something I suck at, but I never had a very easy time finding PvP targets in low or nul-sec without a probe-equipped ship.

Using EVEFit, I can currently use this. I was 6 CPU short from using EANM.
I can only fit a probe launcher if I use a named warp scrambler. Not sure how much those cost.
Go to lowsec. Find someone ratting and blow him up. It will get your heart pumping and you will enjoy the experience if you haven't done PvP yet.
Yeah I know... 🙂 I've been playing the game for a while (since '04); I've done a lot of 0.0, where I was (briefly) in the original Curse Alliance, Foundation, Forsaken Empire, Center for Disease Creation (that one was fun!) and so forth. I had a lot of fun in the free-for-all when the drone regions first opened up.
My problem really is that I want the game to be fun, but I don't have more than just a few hours a week to put into it. I have 5 accounts total (most disabled), which include 2 that can fly carrier/dread. Three are maxed out Hulk pilots who also have tons of combat skills, and I have two that fly Orcas. Once can fly command ships with the gang links.
So I think the ideal corp would be loosely knit, ok with casual playing, that occasionally runs lowsec or 0.0 or wh wulfpax, yet still allows me time to make occasional isk. I don't think I want to make the commitment to an alliance that maintains sov, so if I do 0.0 it'll be NPC.
Any suggestions? I really want this game to be fun again because I love the idea of it.
Martimus, I'm in GMT -8 (-7 with daylight savings time right now). Does your group have a good amount of players online during evenings US time?
Yeah. In fact the majority of people from Anandtech in my corp are on PDT. I am actually on EDT, but Michael, Ichy, and JStorm are all PDT players.

As far as I can tell, nothing has changed. It is hard to research unless you have a POS to research at though. We have plenty of people in alliance with research POSes, and you should be able to use one of theirs. (mine doesn't have Research capability)
I did a little more reading and I got the impression you can only use a research POS if the person who owns it belongs to your corp. Is there something I'm misreading there?
Also, how much would it cost to add research capability to a POS? I'd be willing to chip in part of the cost if you wanted to add it to yours assuming it wasn't outlandishly expensive. I don't know anything about POS operation though so I might be horrified by the price.
Martimus:
Thanks, I'll contact you in-game about the guy in the corp with the research POS. Running radar and magnetometric sites has left me with lots of datacores, decryptors and interfaces that I want to put to good use.
BTW, how is POS ownership working out for you? From what I recall the start-up costs were pretty substantial, but it sounds like you've gotten the hang of it.
Martimus where is your corp. located?
I just joined EACS to install a couple jump clones around before I go off and try to do some serious Yarring. Also, I suck something fierce in using the directional scanner, it's like combing the desert and not finding shit.
