This is just messing around in random militia groups in low sec though.

Yeah lowsec PvP is kinda dumb like that. Roving through 0.0 is where it's at.

I've gotta agree with that. I think FW/Lowsec PvP is a nice way to build a foundation before taking the risks in 0.0 though.

PvP to make isk, Pirating ftw.

All this discussions gunna end up making me retry the 14 day trial again.. a year ago I started, spent forever going from A to B, A to B, A to B, x20000... and I just got annoyed. How long does the typical EVE gaming session need to last in order to be at least somewhat productive? Damnit I just watched Battlestar tonight and I'm all pumped lol.

That really depends on what you mean by productive. I can log on my marketing alt and reset my buy orders and log off within 5-10 mins. That might net me a few million isk if I hit things at the right time. If we're talking PvP it depends on what you're doing .. high/low sec stuff, 0.0 stuff, FW, etc. Could be minutes till an engagement, could be hours.

Definitely thinking of subscribing once Apocrypha comes out tomorrow. I played the free trial and enjoyed it quite a bit, but the timing of server maintenance meant I could never log on really fast in the morning and set an 8-10 hour skill training. It looks very much like the training queue will fix that problem.

If you guys are looking for a good, friendly corp, and you have over roughly 6M SP then look us up. Rising Ashes Inc.

My toon's name is Kono Tanuki

Lots of experienced members... not too heavy on the PVP.

You know, I might take you up on that. I like the corp I'm in, but I like AFK missioning in the Domi, and large wardecs make that kinda difficult heh.

I'm running dual accounts ATM, one with just over 7mil, the other just over 6mil. Mission runner and salvager right now, but can fit decent PvP setups on both. What factions (other than Caldari) do you guys mission with?

Also, you guys planning on doing much wormholing?

There are definitely people in this corp who would be interested in wormholing. Just ask around.

Most of our missions are caldari at this point. We have access to every Caldari Level 5 mission as well... and there are always people looking around for help with level 5's.

There is a good quality 18 level 4 agent in Motsu which is who most of us abuse.

There is much more to the medium/long term plans of the corp, but right now we're doing well over here in Motsu.

Come apply to Rising Ashes Inc at :

Isenairos VI - Moon 13 - Rapid Assembly Warehouse

We are not just Ravens. we have everything from Amarr pilots to railgunning Rokh guys to minmatar and gallente drone whores...

Ahh. Motsu's a no-go zone for me... I lose drones constantly in the laggy mission hubs. I've been using the L4Q13 agent in Tintoh, but I'm considering going after one of the L4Q20 Ministry of War agents.

L5's are rather appealing though... I can fit a pretty decent RR Domi and I can toss my other char into a target-painting boat if there are a bunch of missile chuckers in fleet

I've got a massive ton of take-home midterm crap to do tonight, so I probably won't be on until tomorrow, but I might hop on for an hour or so at some point.

At the moment I'm all for charisma. My main character has been training up the leadership skills. He's an Orca pilot who can give his gang members a 23km mining laser range along with a 134 second cycle time. Woot.

I've got enough leadership for squad commander. That'll do 🙂

Make sure you all have a long skill set! Almost patch Tuesday!

To complete a L5 mission you'd need a since sized gang of ships and you will be headed into low sec space. All L5 agents are located in low sec space. The amount of ISK and LP is not worth the hassle with L5 missions.

1) you can get very nice drops, so worth it or not is not well defined.
2) some people do it just for the hell of it, the challenge, etc.

in other words no one is forcing anyone...

Funny you mention it, I haven't experienced any lag whatsoever in the last month or so...? Jita might be bad, but Motsu is nothing.

You can get some nice drops but you'd have to run those missions over and over again. The odds of getting a officer spawn are not that great even though you can get one in a L5 mission from time to time. While some people do them for fun every once in a while no one runs them daily for profit because you'd earn more LP and ISk doing L4's by yourself. Or better yet do some exploration for complexes or rat in 0.0 space instead.

I agree 100% it's just a fun corp thing from time to time, as you said

EVE Apocrypha expansion has hit... I haven't had a chance to install and log in yet, as I'm at work. Any adventures in w-space yet?

I patched .. and it broke (corrupted) EVE. DLing the full build now so I can reinstall. 😛

As far as wormholes go I have very little idea what it is ("sleeper" pirates to kill for salvage/items/roids to produce T3 ships/modules????) and certainly no clue where to go, and since I only have 3.5mil SP I doubt I could do anything anyway...

I had 70+ million sp the game became a job you weither your grinding rats in 0.0 or grinding lvl 4 missions in empire its all to support your pvp . Your corp can get infaltrated all the stuff can be stolen ....Its all part of the game . Its international true which means to hold space you have to defend against all time zones (If your alliance is unsucessful then those lvl 4 missions will sadly become your income) Or you just jump to another corp in a more sucessful alliance

I could fly almost every ship in eve and I needed to as the nerf/buff wagon makes certain races ships and tactics obsolete I started out Caldari but I flew everything I rarely flew Caldari ships .

The bad thing about eve is now I cant really get into most mmo's as I get suspicous as hell about everything because to be sucessful in eve you trust few people . everyone lies (esp your own Alliance ) keeping the pos's up and running and being a director is a hassle and in the end its a job

At first though its brillant

Who gave you a character, or did you buy one?

Oh and the hurricane is a great BC.

Well first of all I never bought my character , And second of all most of the tier two BS's are ok its sorta a newb thing though as I could fly most command ships its sorta the way you go when your not a lil newlet like you

Wow ... please do go on your story is enthralling

Last night I logged in just long enough to figure out the new scanning system. I managed to track down and warp to a 3/10 rogue drone site (I was hoping for a wormhole, but there wasn't one in the system I was probing in). I'll do some more tonight.

I'm guessing that I should start training at least one more account for probing, and get my other characters into command ships (or at least tier 2 BC), so I can come up with an effective way to dual-box WH sites.

The ones in 0.0 space will require a decent fleet. According to the EVE forums a fleet of several BS's and Carrier were WTFBBQSAUCEPWN'D by the NPC's in a 0.0 wormhole. The only one who made it out alive in that fleet was the carrier I heard.
