^ Goon spai!
Haha, I wish. Although I did get the email from them advising for a fee I can join them.
No thanks. But I will be in Jita trying to take their loot and shooting them when they go red.
I now have my isk stream working again, time to start risking ships in PVP.
Michael
That is a scam. They will take your isk, let you join. Tell you that you can use their jump freighter lines to move your stuff to null, and once you finally do use it with a lot of your possessions, they will boot you from corp and steal it all.
IIRC the Goons legitimately recruit only from the Something Awful forums.
I invent and build ships from invention. I also build freighters and orcas. Mining with my alt and look for fun with my main PVP character. Got ganked mining with my alt and via kill rights got my first kill mail in a few years killing and podding one of the gankers.
Have fit up a few expensive ships, will start solo PVPing soon.

First kill in a few years.

Nice kill. Strength on strength. I probably wouldn't have attacked a catalyst with a close range frigate, but the Ishkur does put out a pounding on small ships with all those drones. Was it a close fight?
I don't have EVE yet, but saw it on sale on Steam. Is it worth getting it?? (I noticed Steam had some disclosures about it not being compatible with other EVE versions.....or something like that).
Good reviews on it and really nice graphics etc...
Oh, you definetly want to read up on the game before even thinking of trying it out.Ok, I HIGHLY suggest you read up on the game first. Eve isn't about the graphics. You don't typically fly your ship (you issue commands like orbit, warp to object at range X, dock, jump, etc.).
The game can become VERY time consuming and in the beginning, VERY hard to know what to do, since there is no story. It is a sandbox game, with thousands of other players, with very complex rules, of which not understanding the rule will result in your death, which means the loss of your ship, and equipment, and cargo. Which as a new player, can be very difficult to replace since you typically do not have very good income.
I'm not trying to tell you not to play the game, I personally LOVE it. But I wanted to give you fair warning in that it is fairly complex, with very real consequences for dying (unlike games like WoW where all you have to do is go back to where you died and get all your stuff again, where all you lost was the 5-10 minutes it takes to get a group and get back there).
Haven't been playing since 09 or so, stopped ship spinning some time in 2010. Every time I consider re-joining I'm overcome by a wave of ennui. Helps bunches that I looked and timecodes are 750 mil, which means my 60 bil or so in assets isn't going to go very far with 4 accounts.
They keep mailing me re: I still have a bunch of PLEX on my accounts, but just can't summon up the urge to re-up.
Good to know you're having fun returning though. If I ever work through my backlog of games and give it another shot I might too.
