I can replicate their music.
Step 1: Find Cat

Step 2: Strangle Cat

Step 3: Enjoy the sound, because apparently you like it already

And guys, remember it's just a joke, so don't start flaming because I don't like them.

6 cds before fallen? There was one that was published, and a couple they gave out when starting I think.. but from what I found labeled as a separate cd.. much of it was re--used across the board.

But I gotta say I do like quite a bit that was not on Fallen.

It's the 'couple they gave out' I was referring to. They did the one major concert release before "Fallen", 3 demo CDs for the studios (about 4-6 songs each), and a couple other concert releases (also only 4-6 songs each).

Granted, a LOT of recycled songs, true. But, at least when re-used they generally did very different versions of a song. A couple (don't recall by name), you'd never realize was the same song.

Taking a look at my "Evanescence" MP3 folder, I find I have 71 songs from them. Lots of good stuff, all of the pre-"Fallen" songs are MUCH better than "Fallen".

Ummmm....that said, yeah, Nightwish kicks their ass. My wife hates Evanescence, too, but she really digs Nightwish. (Which is odd, given that she really hates rock/metal music in general, preferring folk and Irish music....but she likes Nightwish!)

question one: does it sound good?
question two: do you enjoy it?
question three: if you have to ask yourself a third question, youre an elitist prick.

In my mind Evanescence is similar to The Tea Party and ... I can't remember the name, I'll edit it in later.

I tried Nightwish. I can't stand the woman's opera-like singing. It's not the angelic/soft voice type... it's the friggin opera for real.

The entire Origin album is more similar to how My Immortal sounds on Fallen.

Basically, most of the songs on Origin were re-written for Fallen, and on fallen they have more of a rock style, whereas on fallen they are softer, more piano, etc.

Nightwish's "Dead Boy's Poem" has a similar feel to it. They also have a few others that sound good.
