Heh, MSNBC seems to be in full attack mode against Evan Bayh...

Olbermann, of the "tolerant" left, begins by titling his attack segment "Bayh Curious", then proceeds to make the case that the most significant reason why Bayh is leaving the Senate is because apparently his biggest political desire is giving tax cuts to "the rich", of which Harry Reid, in all of his America-loving kindness, refused to allow Bayh to do.

And "progressives" wonder why Fox News is dominating in the ratings...

Keith Olbermann is a douche and ignoramus of the highest order. He is the left's Beck. As a resident of Indiana, I can assure you that Bayh did not favor the rich. Olbermann is an ignorant buffoon spouting the usual looney left talking points. Most people see through it, fortunately.

Bayh was a decent governor and I won't be surprised if he decides to run for governor again.

Hey! That's not fair. Olbermann has dozens of dedicated viewers, a substantial minority of which are NOT employees or family members! LOL

Nick, I can't even recall another super majority in my lifetime. Certainly the Pubbies have never had one, and if the Dems did I can't recall it. I'm going to be amazed though if the Democrats actually lose the Senate. It's possible, but if the Republicans are doing really well then the Tea Party will also likely be doing well. That will encourage them to run candidates, whose votes will cut almost entirely into the Republican voter base. Add that to the 2/3 or more of stimulus money still remaining to be spent, the likelihood of another stimulus or "jobs bill" to increase government hiring, the likelihood of TARP money being used as a sort of jobs program, and the almost complete support of the mainstream media and I suspect the Dems will hold on to a slim majority in the Senate. The Pubbies will probably take the House though, depending on how much union and corporate money the Dems can throw at those races. With most Dems seats at risk, this will be by far the most expensive election in history, and the Republicans will probably pick up a bigger share of corporate money since it's at least reasonably possible that they will take Congress.

Of course, Obama is making Congress less relevant anyway . . .

Forgot to add, Dick Morris estimated that Bayh's internal polling put him twenty-five points behind Coates. If that's even close to true, then my earlier estimate that Bayh would probably win re-election was flawed.
