is still visable on the bottom right of desktop, anyway to remove it ?

orig was place there when sp2 beta was installed, downloaded sp2 for vista, uninstalled the beta and installed the vista sp2 from MS, it dissappeared, but reappeared after a reboot.

isnt there anyway to run a modern operating system without the need for a 'Crack' ?

The whole idea behind beta software is that you don't have the right to rant when something breaks as a consequence.

my post was by far anything but a 'RANT' , and nothing is broke.

your post is worthless to me, but IS 'self serving' to drive up your post count which doesnt impress me at all, get a life.

I do know it can take 2-3 reboots to cycle the message fully. Did you try rebooting one more time?

the pc has been rebooted atleast 20 times since then, it was never there till sp1 beta was installed, i uninstalled the beta before installing the sp2 from ms, it disappeared for a reboot and i installed sp2 and 2nd reboot it reappeared.

Id try reinstalling SP2 again, then reboot twice when it's complete...

the ' Evaluation Copy ' is gone, even after several reboots!

when trying to install sp1 from my downloaded file OR windows update i keep getting the update failed with error code 8000ffff, whats going on with that code ?
