folk = foke
half = haf
talk = tok
psalm = som
yolk = yoke

I have people pronounce all of those as they are shown on the right.
I don't... but I have heard them pronounced that way.

the "L" might not be as prominent as your other examples but there are "L" sounds in there just softer. Just say "walk", it is a soft "L" not a harsh "L" but it isn't gone entirely.

I have never heard them pronounced that way...save for yolk. Maybe walk and half sometimes. But never calm. Calm I have never ever heard anyone not pronounce the l quite distinctly.

Must be a regional thing or something. I rarely here people pronounce the Ls on any of those words.

There's a difference between a soft L and a silent L. A lot of those are definitely not silent.
