Euros and Commas

Why do European ppl use commas instead of periods. I was on this one forum and everybody was talking about their 3,0 ghz processors....it was VERY confusing.

You know what's weirder? When they're talking about one million, they write 1.000.000! :Q

that is not true at all. I think both brits and the japanese use the same convestion as in the US.

the dictionary is neutral (i think) and uses spaces instead of commas or periods for larger numbers.

Also, it gets much more complicated... some countries consider a billion to be 1000 x a million. Some consider it to be a million^2.
