I'm sure that was very important to the war effort, but so what? Lots of other things were important too.

My point is that the USA, Britain, and Russia, all played major roles in the war, and if anyone 'saved' the rest of us it was the Russians. They took more casualties than all the other nations combined, and if they hadn't stuck with it, the Nazis might have been able to invade Britain and the USA.

Plus, it's not like that's the only time one of the western allies has helped another - Bush just clicked his fingers and hundreds of British aircraft, tens of thousands of troops and vehicles, etc jumped to his aid in Iraq.

Without Lend Lease and strategic materials from the US, Britain would have fallen. FDR did everything short of attacking Uboats in the Atlantic while we were still "neutral" to help the UK.

I just don't care for it when people say we did squat until Dec 1941, because it isn't true.

I was on a 3 month trip with a budget. A 200 euro hotel room was not in that budget.. I would've taken a hostel bed but their front desks closed after 10pm.

Many Europeans are crazed supremacists and cannot take any criticism at all about their countries, city, etc.

The most popular Swiss political party is a white supremacist, racist political party which has slogans such as "The Swiss are becoming Negroes" and pictures of brown people feasting upon the blood of white children.
