History shows that Europe is simply incapable of governance. All this talk about the ills of expansionism is just an excuse. Even if the EU did not expand it would still have serious issues. Belgium is a great example of this. A tiny country of 10 million can barely exist as a unified country.

Why? Perhaps their cultures have not significantly changed in centuries, with the last great opportunity being WW2. This stagnant cultural backdrop continues to breed hate.

If the world stands by there will be a WW3. It can act now and save millions of live and trillions of dollars.

Why are you guys so bloodthirsty? How come you hate the Europeans so much that you wish them suffering?

I hate the weak and stupid who in the name of tolerance have imported intolerance. Western nations are so bereft of their own culture and institutions they deserve to lose it to a stronger culture who actually has lots of children too.... simple Darwin in effect. It's like watching those videos on youtube of Darwin winners, I laugh, like I'll laugh at Europe.

Ha ha Zebo . Lol. If I had 6,000 years to plan the downfall of man . I would work to ensure that natural selection stops. I would protect them make them strong so that when the so called rapture comes and the elite hide in their underground tombs.

When all hell breaks lose and the masses left on the surface go insane with blood lust and kill one another because of their plan.

But their plan is known , They will not prevail. Those who except with dignity and honor that they were herded will in the end overcome blood lust . They shall parish and the watchers will be cast out.

Fuck Europe. I hope the entire continent goes on fire.

Fuck the U.S. I hope the whole country goes on fire.

There, how do you like me telling you that?

(For all the "normal" Americans around here, this has nothing to do with you, so please don't take it personally)

Don't let these people get to you. They deserve pity for being so full of hate and delusional in their beliefs.

I spent seven years going back and forth to Turkey, touring all over the country and even had a house there for a while. Have you even got a passport? :awe:

by your standard you should bow down to angelina jolie on foreign policy. give me a break. like it or not the standard for "moderation" in turkey is still rather dubious. public support for the latest trouble making in gaza is just another indication of where they really stand. the only thing keeping turkey from slipping towards the jackboot of total islamic governance was the military, and clearly even thats not been working lately.

State sponsored murder usually gets people's blood up, don'tcha know?

Your Fox News view of Turkey is laughable at best. Get a passport and get a clue.

tens of thousands of kurdish civilians have died to the turkish war against the pkk "terrorists". yet the turks cause trouble against israel when they know very well they'd deal with any terrorists lobbing thousands of rockets at their towns by smashing them with an iron fist. There is no talk about autonomy for the kurds in turkey, its the kind of blatant hipocrisy found in the region. Millions of turks have negative views of the us and israel based on all kinds of nonsense, yet you give them credence, and almost one of them have actually traveled to the countries they have opinions on. so really, go shutup about your passport. i'm a citizen of multiple countries so don't play the worldly game with me.

Let turkey in and its job done.

Thats besides the point. Turkey has >5% of thier territory in Europe, thier culture is far more central Asian and Islamic than European [Turks stole Anatolia from the Greeks, so thier not even the original population]. If the EU lets them in, then why not add in other border countries...Kazakastan has 1-2% of its territory in Europe...might aswell let them in to!

They added Cyprus, which is closer to Syria than mainland Europe. At least Turkey has land in mainland Europe.

Europe is going to need some young people to fill in the dwindling population. Might as well have Turkey provide that.

Give this man a gold star!!!

Seriously the chauvinism that runs rampant in these boards comes from ignorance. I have lived in over 13 countries over the last 30 years and have chosen the US as the place to raise my children. What gets me is the idea that one country, or religion, or car, is the best in the world...... The bellicose idiocy that gets us catch phrases like " America is the best country in the world" or even "God bless America" is insulting and frankly ignorant of what goes on outside of your sphere of influence. Now dont get me wrong I do hope God in whatever form you believe does bless the US but I also hope he/she blesses the dying children in the Congo, the women sold into slavery at childhood in thousands of places on our good green earth.

If you have tasted the fruits of other trees, if you have explored other Apple glens, then maybe you have the right to say what apple tastes the best to you. Not what apple is better for everyone......

When I moved here to the US the first week of school I believed the US was a fascist state. First thing we did was get into a line to get on the bus. Second thing we did was get into a line to get into school. Third thing we did was chant some dogmatic oath of allegiance to a flag......... Second week of school we watched a program about the death of the Soviet leader Brezhnev. First thing the teacher did was so tie it to communism and how it was evil. I raised my hand and asked "why was he evil" The teacher responded he was a communist. I told her that answer was not good enough......

What - opposed to your view from the porch in a turkey tourism epicenter?

Yes, I'm from europe. One of the better countries here. But I'm still thinking about emigrating once I get some marketable skills :/

European governance is all about passifying people - it reduces crime.. discontent. I

Granted, it's effective, and they may not even know what they are doing, but they are.

So talking tough on terrorism and preaching argumentum ad numerum isn't pacification?

Without pacification of the masses there would be chaos..... If people didnt have their football and beer they would be rioting in the streets.

You can disagree with a modified socio-democratic state but the other choices are no less flawed.

sounds like the US and our illegal mexican problem.

yeah US probably has more foreign people than any country in europe. It just doesn't show that well in statistics because any child born will be US citizen automatically. Not so in europe. If you are Italian couple and live in germany and have a child, the child is still Italian and has no direct right to get a german passport.

It's normally not very easy to get a passport. In many countries you need to have lived there for years to even be able to apply for citizenship. You might need provide references of citizens you know and think you are "a good citizen". Often you need to pass a test that mostly contains questions about the countries history and political system.

But it's very different form country to country. One reasons some europeans are not that found of americans is their ignorance. They just talk about Europe. But europes countries themselves are very different. Like 1000x fold to New York and any place of your choice within US. It' much more than just the languages.
England is much more similar to US than to many (probably most) european countries.

Greek does have problems but compared to the financial issues of USA most european countries are off alot better. There are certain economic rules and statistics you must fullfill to join the EU, Turkey could probably do it if they wanted to but USA would have 0 chance. 0. Too much debt.

All in all Europe sure isn't in worse condition than US. I haven't seen any Arabic labeled signs here yet but i did see spanish ones all over US.

BTW the Europe != EU. I'm actually not fond of the EU. But I also don't need to worry about it because my country was clever enough not to join.
