BTW Buz2b, you must not have cought it earlier but the firewall is ZA Pro. It's the exact same application just branded differant.

I've only been using the AntiVirus for a short while, but I like what I've seen thusfar.

LOL! That might be a fun game! As to the firewall, I didn't catch that earlier. That being the case, then the firewall would certainly be worth using. Especially since my year''s subscription to ZA pro is running out. Does the "rebadged" version include the online support/info that ZA pro does?

They do provide online documentation and support for it through their website (my-etrust.com) but it doent seem to be anything that I would consider "special."

What kind of online support and info does ZA pro come with?

Well, one item of importance is their Alert analysis. When a program or service tries to connect online from your computer and you aren't sure what it is for, you can just click for more info and ZA's site gives you Overview, Technical info, Details and Hacker ID on that particular program or service. It gives you a better idea and understanding of things overall. Usually not needed much after a while but is very handy nonetheless. It also catches the infamous spyware attempts. Of course, there's also the software updates that are released from time to time but most programs will have that included.

I am currently running Avast which is also free....are there any advantages to running ETrust over Avast?

The only thing I can come up with is that Avast initially give you 3 months free - and then you just need to re-register to continue service whereas ETrust would be free for on year with out have to re-register.

Is that accurate?

You wouldnt have to re-register (or do much of anything) for one year, however after a year if you want continued anti-virus updates you will need to pay for it.

The firewall is good, but as for the antivirus, well, consider yourself warned. ;)

Does anyone know if I can set this firewall up to block specific ports ie: 135, 139, & 445 in order to block MS Blast?
