Ethical consequences of the use of torture by democratic western nations

Many Presidents have made bad decisions in the past out of haste and fear. Time gives us the luxury of examining these decisions in great detail. The object lesson of history is to be smart enough not to repeat the same mistakes.

Name one potential terror attack that has been prevented by torturing information out of a suspect....
