Ethical? Boxer with 4 arms.

Same idea as letter transgender people compete in the Olympics... Allow a man that has female genitalia compete in the womens events?

They import genetic freaks from all over the world to play NBA basketball only because they are giants, so let the guy box.

If people with longer arms or people that are naturally stronger or more agile can box then why should someone with 4 arms not be able to?

I'd let him fight. Then, as in all sports when it is clear something is unstoppable, make a rule against it.

For example. You no longer see the truely unstoppable "flying wedge" football play anymore. A simple rule change making a minimum number of players on the line of scrimmage put balance right back into the game.

So I'd let him fight, win a title, then make a rule having a maximum of two boxing gloves per boxer. Of course couple that with the rule that all punches must be with boxing gloves and problem solved.

He still can use the 2 free hands to block punches and the other 2 hands with the boxing gloves to throw punches at will.

What if he's boxing someone that isn't named Will?

so people who are genetically superior (in terms of the sport they are competing) should artificially be put at a disadvantage with the rest of the meat bags?

in that type of situation, that person should be allowed to compete.

just to relate it to something else, should that kid in germany who has the 2 genes that give him great strength never be allowed to compete in any sports because of his genetic superiority? should we drug him up so that we may knock him down in order to compete with that individual?
(currently 4 yay vs 8 nay)

edit: or people who are naturally smarter than others should be drugged up so that those who aren't can better compete. why tear down something better?

How do you feel about weight classes in boxing then? Same deal.

How do you figure? They fight like fighters, they don't want to fight some 200 pound guy they lose some weight get down to next weight class. Its not like he can fight other 4 arm fighters till he decides he wants 2 of his arms to go away so he can fight 2 arm fighters.

Good point. In fact, that's probably already taken care of in the rules anyways.

Each fighter is given a pair of mandated and approved gloves before each fight, not allowing them to use their own. So basically, if the fighter only gets two gloves and a rule is in place to only allow punching with gloved hands, then as you say the problem is solved. And probably already is, no reason for the poll. 😀
