Ethernet/USB Port problems.

Recently, I upgraded my case from an old Antec to the Thermaltake Armor with an OCZ Modstream 520W. I didn't have any problems during installation, but when I started up my computer, the internet didnt work properly. I tried playing World of Warcraft and half the chat services didn't function. Afterwords, I connected my MP3 player to the top USB port provided by the case... bad idea. Small sparks popped out and the remainder of USB ports on my motherboards stopped working.

Surprised, I tried to reboot my computer. The computer couldn't get past the POST screen and just kept freezing there. I fixed that problem by disconnecting the case USB ports from my motherboard. But now, I can't even get on MSN Messenger and the problems with WoW still exsist. The strangest thing is, I can't disable or enable ethernet ports anymore, it forces me to use a specific one.

The motherboard I'm currently using is K8N Neo4 Platinum. Any and all help will be appreciated... 🙁

Hi, Your case USB ports are wired incorrectly. Check your MB manual or go to the manufacturers site and download it. The connector board and/or the USB device may have been damaged. Luck, Jim
