Ethernet Cable

My pc will not connect to the internet with my BT Voyager 205 ADSL Router via the Ethernet cable. I've been using the USB cable instead but want to know why it will not work, any ideas????

My guess would be that the MAC address of the USB connection in the modem is the one that's registered with your DSL provider. If you want to use the Ethernet port, you'll likely have to call your DSL provider and have them change the MAC address registered with your account to the MAC address of the DSL modem's Ethernet port.
