This movie sucked! Anyone out of their 20's who enjoyed this movie? The whole partying/drug scene was definitely not needed and frankly I'm getting tired of all these movies with young people who constantly have to get drunk or high.

Just watched it today. Recommended. Plus, it's not over-rated like LostInTranslation.

SOME SPOILERS

i thought Lost in Translation was a good movie!

just saw eternal sunshine with the gf. wow! what an awesome, heartwarming, touching, creative, and brilliant film. it was such a sad and yet such a happy film at the same time. was so sad when Joel was trying so hard to hold on to his memories of Clementine. brought a tear to my eye.
liked the happy ending, but kinda wished it ended in a sad way (ie..Clementine and Joel never meet...never remember each other). u dont see too many sad endings these days. still...A+ movie.
on the drive back, we were talking about how in the end they were aware of the fact that they hated each other at one time, yet they decided to give a shot even though they knew they might end up the same way again. reminded me of the saying "better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."
this movie got me thinkin. no matter what happens, i'd never wanna lose the memories i have of my gf

i liked lost in translation a lot. but i liked this better

definately wanna get this DVD when it comes out

Saw this movie with 3 other people, we walked out about half way through.

This is the 1st movie I have ever walked out on... it is pure trash.

maybe dawn of the dead is more your style.

Jim Carey is brilliant, I think he has a Tom Hanks kinda talent. That being starting in Comedy and becoming a True Hollywood Super Star.

Good movie, saw it Sat nite. It started to drag a little 2/3 of the way thru but picked up at the end.
Another good movie is "Big Fish", highly recommend.

Just saw it tonight... great flick.

Kate Winslet is just to die for.

i've always thought Jim Carrey was a good actor.

the direction and filming was cutting edge... things i've never
seen in a movie before... really cool.

spoiler: (don't read if you haven't seen the movie!)

i think they would have gotten back together again if that service wasn't available.
Clemintine's spur of the moment decision wasn't something she was living with very
well. And Joel's made a change in the end too... he took a chance, came out of himself
to be willing to try again, even though it my end badly.

what a great movie! (even if it left me feeling heartbroken for past loves!)

and no i don't have a vagina, i will be seeing Dawn of the Dead tonight also.

as others have said, nothing vaginal about the guy who writes weird stuff like being john malkovich and adaptation🙂

i did figure out the start was actually the end pretty quick though, but i guess it wasn't really hidden. kristins char seemed like a convenient writing tool, but overall it was an interesitng movie🙂

The references to panty-theft made me very uncomfortable too

ESotSM: IMO, is wayyyyyyyy overrated. Cool movie, but way too off center for my liking. Great concept and decent execution, but the whole thing was a bit too contrived.

hit a little too close to home didn't it?

I absolutely hated Kate Winslet's character, what a boring uninteresting ho. I though Carrey did a fantastic job, though.
Over all I really didn't like the movie. It had the whole vanilla sky, focus films disjointed
story line etc... basically it felt like it borrowed heavily from much better movies. I just couldn't
dig it. Plus my gf saw it loved it and got in a mood about us and so i had to watch it, realized why
she was all funky and that didn't at all help my appraisal of the film.

Saw the film last night, then read the script this morning. It was an earlier re-write, but not much different than the film.

I have to say, Charles Kaufman's films are getting increasingly good. I'm curious to see what direction future films go. While all three movies have similarities, they are dramatically different films.

I'm looking forward to what's next 🙂

Saw it today. I liked it. GF didn't like it as much though. I think she's still used to Jim Carrey in outlandish goofy roles, so she had a harder time accepting him in this role.
