How long before some evangelical claims it is god punishing sinful California?
More likely to claim they should've done waste water injection into to lubricate the fault line.Momma Nature is playing some serious rock 'n roll in Cali. I can't wait for Felonious D to opine that this wouldn't happen if California raked up the San Andreas Fault.
You seem to have asked a question that is grammatically traditionally incorrect and therefore confusing, perhaps because you are responding to a question that contained the same error. The name of the deity worshiped by Evangelicals is God, not god, and you should have answered, “How do you know He isn’t.”, if I correctly take your meaning. How do you know it isn't?

Hmm. I’m taking a trip to Ca later this month. It’s probably waiting until then to fall into the ocean.
And AFAIK God didn't tweet responsibility for any of them.Something around 1700 aftershocks since Thursday's 6.4 shaker.
Because God doesn't exist .![]()
Only because his account was suspended. And AFAIK God didn't tweet responsibility for any of them.
This is all the result of unconscious self hate and it it totally unnecessary. The cure is modesty. I used to think like that but realized I am just not important enough to cause a disaster. Trust me on that. The feeling we are disasters are all from a repressed past and were all lies. We were born joyous and full of life and wham.No that would if happen if I went there. My luck is so bad that I fear ever going to Yellowstone because I would set the supervolcano off. If I went to the Pacific Northwest I'd trigger the Cascadia Fault causing the tsunami that would destroy Seattle and Portland while also setting off Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Ranier, and the rest of the Cascade Volcano Range. I will stay in the Northeast at least here the people are used to the occasional blizzard in June.

LOL!I can imagine quite easily how many Californians asked themselves "is this the Big One?" the moment the quake hit with some force behind it.
I'm sure most Californians are pretty well mentally and logistically prepped for quakes happening in their zones. As well, their emergency response teams must be well trained and ready to go considering how often (comparatively speaking) quakes occur there.
LOL!
I don't know anyone that's prepared for a major quake.

If so, then, you have asked a question the answer to which you are no more in a position to evaluate than the person who might imagine they can answer, whereas, the original question has a potential answer. How long something takes to happen can be measured as the time that passes between the asking and some Evangelical making such a claim. The question was how long, not how substantive.
I mention this because to ask the question you did was, I believe, intended to imply the original questioner had made assumptions he could not substantiate, that no gods exist. I agree.
But such an opinion can arise in two way at least. It would immediately self generate if you think you know God exists or if you know that the truth of whether God exists or not is something that can’t be logically established. I can’t tell from your question which camp you fall in but I believe that the first camp is created by ego. I don’t see ego of this kind to be a good thing.
Oh, Moonie you should know my posting by now and should have realized I wasn't being serious just by how outlandish it sounds. The only one that is actually serious is the Yellowstone one and that is only because I really would rather not die in the initial blast and want to see the aftermath of it. Good thing I live in New Hampshire and am far away from it. I love to joke about how bad I think my luck is because I have been buying scratch tickets all my adult life and have never won more than $20. I won $100 on the Pick 4 once and that was 15 years ago.
As a side note, I have been broken (sociopath) basically my whole life as well as being on the spectrum and highly intelligent with an incredible long term memory not too much is repressed.
I assumed incorrectly that everybody would be able to sort the question I asked even though it was shortened. I didn't take you into consideration.
Well let me rephrase that just for you.
How do you know it isn't God punishing sinful California?
when one asks a question that has no answer because the question itself is based on faith and not facts, they have already lost the battle.
