Perhaps it might be important to know who you are before you can determine whether you can be immortal. It might help, for example, to know the relationship between time and unity of being.

I know exactly who I am and what I am. I know that to evolve a sentient being who is aware of its own death certain things need to be hard wired or the creature wouldn't survive. It might help, for example, to know the relationship between time and evolution?

That's exactly how sock puppets work.
Tbh I was hoping someone would take the bait, raise their hand and I could charge them for the time my kitchen got flooded and the insurance people said it was an act of god and wouldn't pay!

Are you telling me God is hard wired, because that is what I would tell you if you had ears to hear. We are not alone. We are merely deluded in thinking we are our thinking. To stop thought is to end time and enter into being. That truth is there for the awakening and can't ever be taken away. The kingdom of heaven is within and all that religion promises in a back door way is real. There is a conscious state that some happen upon that says the world is perfect, that God is. There is only love.

Be more modest. You have no idea who you are.

My self as a person is always changing so how would I know that? What I'm saying is you are an evolved being and you think and feel for a reason. Im not talking id.

"God" isn't hard wired. We have instincts to view the Unknown with suspicion that helps us avoid dangers. Over time we have learned certain mysteries and other mysteries we have invented various beings, including gods, to "explain" the unknowns. "God" is merely something we plug into a part of us that seeks comfort from ignorance.

but spirituality is hardwired. Religion is the subversion of spirituality by other humans. Spirituality gave us the greatest human trait... self sacrifice.

The idea behind saying we think we are our thinking is not to cause more thinking. The point is to suggest we detach from that identification because we can and do think anything.

you being able to think anything isnt counter to my statement. Its perfectly natural for you to be a spiritual being.

This is the religious persons conditioned response. For the most part, in my xp, they dont even realize their logic failings. I was the same way after 15 years of religion

Well I'm not very religious. Just so you know.

This is a subjective statement.

You dont need to be, obviously, to play the same games that "very religious" person would. Like I said, most religious people in this country don't even realize what proving a negative is. They're taught to present religion in a certain way to reinforce they're beliefs as truth because they can't be proven wrong, or right either. They require others to present evidence that they can't present either.

Religion has had hundreds of years on this continent alone to integrate in all sorts of ways, stifling progress that would challenge their beliefs while punishing those who would challenge them (that includes denominational infighting).

So bottom line, who cares if you are very religious, you're still dancing the same dance as those very religious people.

As I stated in Post # 24:

A rhetorical question.

Some people (you) just don't get it I suppose.

As I stated in Post # 24:

Yawn, read page 1, you're an idiot. Whether or not you're question was rhetorical doesnt matter. You asked the question, and my replies are not any less factual due to your "rhetorical" question.

Jeebus on a bike. I thought we would immediately go politics and Trump with sanctuary cities and we'd start a fight over that. Nooo... Instead we're fighting over religion and the unanswerable question of the existence of God.

We never fail.

Jeebus on a bike? Here he is:

Why walk on water when you can ride.

I don't know if that would "make" you anything.

It is considered a rhetorical question when asked by someone such as myself and doesn't deserve an answer but thank you anyway for answering.

Answers that I was hoping for would be as inane as my question, or at least answers that would make me laugh.

Sounds like a dose of frog venom.
