Was this the one planned with a completely different graphics core?

Where can I read up on this new card? Just today I ordered a 9800 Pro, and I had hoped to be on the top of the food chain for at least longer than 10 days.

Ack! What should I do???

If you're this worried about it, you should cancel your order and wait 30 days to see what shakes out.

Your rank shouldn't matter, it should be your ability to play games at good framerates (which the 9800 pro does). It feels good, I know, but it really doesn't matter.

Rumored specs on the 9800XT are 412MHz core, 365(730 effective)MHz memory, and $400 list price (probably with some form of Half Life 2 bundled, like just the single player mode). 9800P is 380/340(680) and I believe is functionally identical. So whether or not you should return the 9800P in anticipation of the 9800XT really depends on the price you paid for it.

I would cancel and wait about a week to see what happens. Depending on how badly you need the upgrade

Even if you still go with the 9800... you may get a better price

How much are you paying for the 9800 PRO (350)? the 9800 XT sounds like a spped bump, new features if any are under wraps.
