I only run a 24" LCD, so a X2 would be a bit of a waste for me. I would like a 1GB 4870 though since I like to run with as high AA & AF as I can.

I second this one, I'm also hoping to pickup a 1GB 4870. If nothing else I'm waiting for a revised cooler edition (IceQ, etc.). I think the 4870x2 cards are hogging all the available DDR5 chips thou :frown:

Well, the slide shown on the AT 4870X2 review show the 1GB 4850, the 4870X2 and 1GB 4870 to all be released at approximately the same time.

The 1GB 4850 is already available, and (obviously) the 4870X2 is now out as well. So I can only imagine that it will be an "any day now" scenario.

I'm mostly interested in the Super RV770 which was said to have a waterblock pre-installed on it (as long as the price isn't too outrageous). Having a 4870 on water would completely eliminate any heat issues and would probably allow for some amazing overclocks, assuming it comes with the BIOS unlocked, or at least with the max clocks set high.
