It seems like Aspyr's port (I guess its a port?) of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is a Mac only type thing, in that there are "mods" for Mac and mods for Windows (it seems from what I have read).

Does this mean that if you play ET:QW on the Mac you cant connect to PC ET:QW dedicated servers and play with Windows users? Anyone know?

I'm worried that if thats true it will be the same for CoD4, which Aspyr is releasing in a few months.

Does anyone know if these games are emulated or if they run native?

They probably run native, but with 3rd party ports, they usually lag behind windows version and generally suck. At least in my experience.

Most likely it uses emulation such as Cider. I don't really see why you wouldn't be able to play with Windows users.

Would Cider let you run games on max settings with out lag, say with the newest generation MBP? Or is it slow since its emulation? (What I am worried about)
