you guys will enjoy rashaun woods.
now if there were just a QB to get the ball to him.
and a running game.
and a defense...

While Barlow wont be a threat to break any rushing records, I think he is a solid back that will get better over time.

As long as we keep our key young plaers, the defense wont be horrible.

Quarterback though...yikes. Rattay showed flases of brilliance last yar but I dont think is the guy. Everyone is high on Dorsey but meh. I think they should have traded for Drew Henson when they had the chance.

I think the Viks shoulda been a bit higher. They have picked up quite a few defensive players in the past couple months through free agency(Antoine Winfield) and the draft(Udeze). The fact that Michael Bennett is actually healthy to start mini-camp is nice also. 🙂

Good Point. I'd put them higher as well. Maybe 7th.

And since I didn't mention it earlier, the Falcons are WAY too high. They'll NEVER do that well.

I agree........they are overrated in this list.

I hate to wake up all the girls here, but the Jets will come damn close to winning it all this year. I hate the Jets, by the way. But, Pennington, as good as he has already been, will have his breakout year this year. Some terrific WR's, Curtis Martin will do his thing, and this is one competitive team. NE had better watch out!

Woo!! Chargers in last place! Back-to-back! (or is it a three-peat?)

Arguably a four-peat 😉

2003: 4-12
2002: 8-8
2001: 5-11
2000: 1-15

Edit: okay, worse than that -- NFL.com only has schedules back through 2000.

1999: 8-8
1998: 5-11
1997: 4-12
1996: 8-8

Maybe they weren't last each time, but ouch. That's what Ryan Leaf and Marty Schottenheimer with a young QB will get ya. 😉

You're right, the Vikes should be number 1.

My 49ers aren't that bad, geez. Woods, Lloyd, Wilson, Johnson, Barlow, Beasley, and Rattay are a raw young group, but they'll get better. It'll be rough but I don't expect them to finish the season next to last.

With Vick 2002: Playoff Team, only team ever to beat Green Bay at Lambeau in the playoffs.

Without Vick Starting 2003: 2-10. With Vick Starting 2003: 3-1.

Like the Article Said: Ranking is obviously high based on last season, but with a healthy Michael Vick the Falcons should be heading back to the playoffs.

Don't forget that they also will need to kick Erickson to the curb. One of my favorite parts of last season was that the 'hawks didn't give him the satisfaction of victory.

The weather is great and all, but we're not sure we'd want our son playing for the Chargers either...

lol... 😀

49'ers SUCK.

Yes, I'm a 49'ers fan. 🙁

It all starts with the ownership, and 49'ers owner (it's his wife's team) John York's goal and rallying cry is "We'll be 15 million dollars under the salary cap in 2006!"

That'll excite the fans. Not.

Well, we had the 1980s and a good 1990s.

I'm a Niners fan too. I wish we were back in the 80's and early 90's. Ahhh the good ole days.
