ESPN Original Entertainment: Tilt

Could be interesting, as long as they keep the poker realistic. If every hand is full house trumped by four of a kind, or some other kind of dramatic BS, I think I'll probably turn it off.

I'm not a big poker guy but I agree. If I have nothing better to do I might tune in.

When the action doesn't pause for a poker hand, Tilt is just an episode of Las Vegas (or maybe Dr. Vegas, rest its soul). It's all cheesy dialogue and lame scenarios. My favorite moment: In a back-room game, one guy says (with a carefully scripted blend of anger and accurate poker terminology), "No string bets here, bitch." When his opponent pulls out a small pistol, the guy draws a much bigger gun and shouts, "This time I raise!" (If only the second guy had then rolled in a massive cannon. "Reraise, bitch!")
LMAO

Just saw the commercial for it today and it looks ridiculously stupid. I can't believe you're interested in this "drama."

its just another "commercial" to brainwash young males into thinking they can catch a break and win big in poker. Its like an epidemic, online poker and Moneymaker winning the tournament. The movie looks like garbage.

It's a TV show.

I love it when the pseudo-intellectuals come out of the woodwork to talk ill of something that they've never seen. Way to take a meaningless post about a tv show and turn it into social commentary bunnyfubbles. By the way, I'm not a young male.

lets stop abusing this theme of poker. to many 17 yr olds are getting it into their heads that they can make it as a pro poker player and decide to go all in against me with 2/4 suited and get the suckers straight on the river to beat trip queens.

I dunno, How good can it be when it goes:
We might play cards.
Be Careful, we might play cards.
I used to play cards.
He played cards and it got him killed.

That two chicks at the same time thing took me by surprise.

That show really likes to show the seedy parts of vegas it seems.
