They do. I hate it. Especially when my speakers are turned up loud and I scare myself half to death.

I like how they have the scoreboard on the front page of each sport now. I hated having to click through several links just to find the score for the A's game.

You know you could turn auto-play off, right? Granted, you had to sign up for an account to do so, but it could be done.

It's been in public beta for weeks now, with mention of it all over the site...they just switched over full time. Not sure how you could have missed the "Check out our beta front page, and tell us what you think" links and boxes that have been everywhere.

Dunno man, they've been there. I first saw this layout probably a month and a half ago, at least. Link was right on the main page.
 
the new look is fine... liked the old one.

No, you can sign up for the free account and setup your preferences to not autoplay the video's. It's the same account you would use for fantasy football, etc. on espn, NOT the insider account stuff.

As far as the new site goes, I'm glad they cleaned up a lot of the links on top. It used to be SO cluttered there!

Me neither. And I go to ESPN at least 10x a day. But I usually know exactly what I am going to click on, so I guess my mind is "trained" to ignore all of the other crap that is there.
