ESPN - New site layout/format?

Looks like they just changed over at midnight. Not sure if I like it or not yet.

Gotta hand it to ESPN though.. It seems like they get a fresh look/major redesign every year!! They are always at the forefront of the new web technology.

I didn't really like the navigation on the old one, so this could be an improvement.

I like how they have the scoreboard on the front page of each sport now. I hated having to click through several links just to find the score for the A's game.

It's been in public beta for weeks now, with mention of it all over the site...they just switched over full time. Not sure how you could have missed the "Check out our beta front page, and tell us what you think" links and boxes that have been everywhere.

Registering at ESPN is free. Insider costs money, but you don't need to be an Insider to turn off Autoplay.

your talking about paying for something... no one pays for something you can get for free.

No, you can sign up for the free account and setup your preferences to not autoplay the video's. It's the same account you would use for fantasy football, etc. on espn, NOT the insider account stuff.

As far as the new site goes, I'm glad they cleaned up a lot of the links on top. It used to be SO cluttered there!

Me neither. And I go to ESPN at least 10x a day. But I usually know exactly what I am going to click on, so I guess my mind is "trained" to ignore all of the other crap that is there.
