ESPN Insider is reporting that Randy Johnson will be traded to......who else but....The Yankees!

they say neither the Red Sox or Cardinals are offering what they want, so according to an ESPN Insider source he will be traded to the Yankees next week

Fine. I'll laugh even harder when they don't win it all AGAIN next year despite yet another utterly obscene payroll. 😀

Randy/Pedro vs Curt

That will be much better.

If yanks can get two Aces and keep most of there existing roster, they can easily win it all.

who's going in the opposite direction?

they dont seem to be sure yet, saying its going to be 1 of 2 things.
A) the yankees are going to be gettiing someone in another trade to send them
B) Tom Gordon, Javier Vazquez, 3B prospect Eric Duncan and $4 million of Vazquez's contract

Yanks have no more minor leaguers, that any team wants. Unless they part ways with (2) starters or Bernie i don't see a trade happening. Randy will not waive his no trade clause unless its a contender.

I see Pedro going to the Mets.

i dont like givin up a young guy like vazquez for RJ. i'd rather go after one of the big 3 in oakland and/or pavano/milton.

and dont forget beltran!

Vazquez will not survive long in NY. If Beltran comes to yanks, Bernie will be traded. If i were the yanks i would try for a 3rd attempt to bring back D. Wells. Sure hes an old fart, but hes a yank veteran and thrives in october.

just grab a pitcher from the Mets, anyone who leaves the Mets seems to become HOFers and MVPs

The Red Sox interest in RJ is purely to drive up the price for the Yankees.

But I don't care, since Pedro will eventually sign with the Red Sox, and so will Pavano.

Pavano, Pedro, Schilling and possibly even Lowe? Dam....that would be a better pitching staff than the Big Four (Glavine, Smoltz, Maddux, Avery (???)) back in the day.

Boy do I miss the Big Four 🙁

I would say let Pedro go to the Mets who are about to overpay for him ($38 million? yikes!). I'm not too sure about Pavano - I would like to see the Sox stop pursuing Johnson and go after Radke or someone like that.

I would be really suprised if Pedro resigned with the Red Sox. I don't see the Red Sox topping the deal he has been offered from the Mets.

I hear Al Leiter will sign with the Yanks.

That would be a very good deal for the Yanks. He had an average year for the Mets but with the Yankee lineup behind him, he would have done much better than 10-9.
