Discussion Esoteric Credit Card Question US vs European Cards

I was just in Spain and Portugal in June (nice places, highly recommended). Had zero problems with my crappy chip + signature cards. I used google wallet a lot also. /shrug

Almost every new card I've gotten no longer requires signing of the card.

I've got....a few card so I looked through them. Chase is all over the board but a number still say signing is required. Barclays, Citi, Amex don't seem to care. Capital one doesn't even have a signature spot anymore on 2 of our 3 cards and neither does US bank
