so I guess I have this thing

http://www.sts.org/doc/4120

I had an Esophagram last month and I see the specialist tomorrow

my symptoms are just trouble swallowing food/solids and coughing fits where it feels like something is stuck in my throat, just phlem/spittle i think , but the "attacks" can last for a few mintues

as long as they don't tell me i have throat cancer i'll be happy. hope they don't want to do that surgery described in the link

the doctor is going to do 2 more tests to see if there is a specific cause. he said in many cases, the cause will not be found

so tomorrow i get the scope down my throat while knocked out and in a couple weeks i get a test where they put a tube/probe into my throat to measure the pressure waves/muscle spasms that are interrupting the normal process

so this is nothing "serious" , not like i have a tumor or something serious

I just saw my family physician and I have to book a GI X-Ray and maybe later an endoscopy to see why I have bouts of vomiting lately. He's put me on Pantoloc for hyperacidity in the meantime but I'll keep this condition in mind.

that went pretty good
the doctor gave my wife a report with pics, as soon as she goes to sleep, i'll scan a couple of them

the only thing he found was a slight indication of the beginnings of an ulcer in my stomach, so i'll have to wait for the next test with the tube up my nose/down my throat

i had the motility study test done this morning
that kinda sucked
actually , other than the severe gagging when the tube was going down my throat, it wasn't horrible. not painful, just very unconfortable

they'll send the results to the doctor in about a week and then maybe i'll find out if i get any treatment or what
