I saw the new eSlate 450 at Office Depot. They have it priced at $799.99, which is $200 less than suggested retail, and $50 less than the lowest price I've seen (which is currently $850 at Buy.com).
While this is no "Super Computer," it does have a 450 Mhz AMD K6-2 Processor, 32 Megs of RAM, 4.3 Gig HD, 2 Meg AGP Video (weak!), and a 12.1 HPA LCD Display (rather nice for an HPA, actually).
Yes, it's an eMachine. But as a cheaply priced notebook, it's a good deal.
If you are considering it, I'd hurry. The OD in my area was already sold out.
