Escort just released their new cordless Solo S2... looks quite nice to me! If the performance is as good as my passport 8500 then I'm switching... I hate that damn cord!

Anyway, just letting you know and wanting some opinions if you have any...

That looks like a really nice unit, but at $329.95, I think I'd wait a year for the price to probably drop by more than half.

I doubt it - the prices on radar detectors really don't go down over time. The Passport and Valentine have had the same prices for years.
 
yep... the Passport 8500 still costs 299... what I paid for it over a year ago.... and I dont know how long its been out before that.
