hahaha slow down! damn!

LIDAR is used for just that reason. Unlike IOR, it's damn near impossible to pick up the beam beforehand and when they have lock you're done. Pay the fine and move on.

I purchased the detector after the first ticket.

The only funny part to this story was my year and a half old huge American Bulldog Max who has always been nothing but the most gentle and friendly dog to everyone and everything must have sensed how extremely pissed I was, because when the cop came back to the window Max was freaking out ready to kill this guy and I didn't say shlt he wouldn't even come near the window.

I hope you pay up the a$$ for this ticket too.

Me too. You sound like one of those.."I own the road"... people:roll:

When I was younger, I drove like there was no tomorrow. Whenever I got a ticket, I just paid it and moved on. It was my choice to speed and if caught, no need to whine.

The OP needs to know that the radar detector will help you but it will NOT protect you from everything, especially from laser (even the Valentine 1).

So, you got a ticket this year during Memorial Day weekend for speeding like a fuckwad. And you got a ticket LAST YEAR same time for speeding like a fuckwad. No ability for pattern recognition, huh genius? Don't you know major holidays are a feeding frenzy for the police and they are out in force looking for assholes like you for easy tickets. Go ahead and blame your detector, as if having one in your car means you will never ever get a ticket for anything and it will allow you to drive like a moron.

yeah...it's a RADAR detector. It might claim to detect laser, but even if it did it wouldn't matter. Laser=you're screwed, pretty much.

I speed plenty, but I'm not stupid enough to claim that fast drivers are SAFER than slow drivers (fast/defensive? LOL! You must not drive much)

If you want to speed, fine. It is not bothering me. What bothers me is the amount of ignorance you are displaying and the sheer audacity to b!tch about something that you have no right to b!tch about.

If you were doing 95 in a 65, then own up to it. In the grand scheeme of things, who gives a rats ass about a ticket? You are lucky you weren't at 96, as the fine goes up exponentialy at 31 over.

Besides, 90 is the "stupid limit"; and you were over it. Under 90, you can usually talk your way out of a ticket. Over 90, and you are only speeding to speed. Granted, I don't have a problem with doing over 90, but when you do, do it alone on a streach of road a billion miles from anyone else so the only casualty will be yourself.

I usually drive 75-80 on my way to work, which is all 55 MPH. I am at the higher end of the speed range in traffic. Even so, I usually get passed by at least one person doing 90+. Sometimes they get pulled over, sometimes not. Either way, it was their choice.

BTW, read up on what Lasar and Radar detectors actually detect. It may help you fill the gaping hole of ignorace that is your skull.

I Also do about 80 when traveling to work or school .. being late for class sucks .. but since driving daily toward school and back home i've noticed where cops set up shop .. and just wait .. from my year of driving i've seen about 20 places where cops setup shop

Meh, the thing that pisses me off is around here (NYC), the speed limit is 50! On the biggest freeways! Its such an utterly ridiculous limit, that at any given time 99% (literally) of the cars on the road are breaking it. Anyone doing 50 is basically a hazard because the vast majority of people are going to start switching lanes to get around the slowpoke. And it basically gives cops the ability to pull anyone over at any time, and they do. There can be people blazing by at 85, but he picked you, going 65. Tough luck. When I was in LA, and the limit was 65, a good amount of the people were doing just that.

Hey, they raised the speed limits on interstates back in the 1975 to 65, hoping to reduce accidents by allowing people to go faster, and you know what? There were MORE accidents because people went faster. You want statistics, Google them, or go ask any cop.

I won't do 20+ under any circumstance. They have made the penalty too great.
If you stick to 15 or less, your wallet will thank you.
