eSATA Mobile HDD Problem

I'm having a problem with my eSATA HDD that I use for my backups. It isn't being recognized by my system, so I went into device manager and there is a yellow exclamation point next to one of my two USB Human Interface Device. I tried downloading a new driver but it tells me I have the current one. Any suggestions?

I unplugged my eSATA cable and rebooted and the yellow exclamation points are now gone. However I can not get my eSATA drive to be recognized. So I plugged it in using the USB 2.0 cable and it works fine, so I know the dive is ok. Do you think I need a new eSATA cable, or is there a problem with the mobo connector?

I have a very similar problem. I purchased a Azio eSata/USB2 external harddrive enclosure and when i use the usb port it works fine ,but when i try to use the eSata port my whole system slows to a crawl and doesnt recover? I thought it was a bad hd encosure so i sent it back for a replacement, but the replacement does the same thing. I tryed it on a friends system and the eSata worked fine for him. wondering if its a motherboard issue I have the DFI Lanparty NF4 UltraD MB. I updated the bios and sata drivers and still have the same problem. Ideas?
