ERwin Data Modeler

I was online looking for a programming job, and one of interesting posts requires familiarity with ERwin Data Modeler. Anyone currently working on somehting similar or have any experience with the software package?

Our company used it up until 3-4 years ago. I don't have a whole lot of experience with it, but it is similar to the database modelling side of Visio (although it has a lot more functionality than Visio)

I have used it a lot..

Very useful fore reverse engineering (generating ER diagrams from existing databases).

You can also use it to forward engineer (basically have an ER diagram ready and it creates all the required tables, the indexes and the relationships between the tables).

Very cool tool.

I wish there's a demo for the software to try it out though. How hard is it to learn if I only have some experience with data-modeling?

I wish there's a demo for the software to try it out though. How hard is it to learn if I only have some experience with data-modeling?

Very simple dude.. I learnt it in approximately a week or so. No training. Just did some hands on and tried some things myself.

All you need is a system with Erwin loaded on it and a database on which you can do some work.

It is pretty easy IMO if you know database basics. Also, the UI is very easy to follow.
