Errorsafe advert on Anandtech

The errorsafe advert is annoying; it pops up a message box asking to scan your computer for spyware/viruses then when you press cancel it still trys to connect to their site

It also pops up even if you havent clicked the ad

Try blacklisting dynamic.anandtech.com, it takes care of a lot of the ads and I've haven't seen that one yet.

Were you seeing that on the main page or in the Forums? Those sites are pure scams, and the last such outfit whose ads appeared on AnandTech subsequently got sued into the ground by the Washington State Attorney General (and Microsoft too, I believe).

AnandTech should make sure their ad partner eradicates that scum from the rotation immediately.

Main Anandtech site the forums seem clear of it

I find it annoying because I dont want to have to resort to blocking the ads as the site needs a source of revenue, but when ads like these turn up it is plain irritating

I'm getting this too.
The network AV system picked up an attempt to download ADW_WINFIXER.AZ in file ErrorSafeNewReleaseInstall.exe by a user who was browsing the HDCP graphics card round up on the main site. It looks like the advertising provider is serving malware.
