Errors when playing HL multiplayer

HL is going down hill for me and I have no idea why.. I'll be playing a game, and the map will change and all of a sudden, before the new map loads, I'll get dialogue box that pops up and says ***.spr has changed since starting the engine.. if not that then sometimes when connecting to a server I'll get "server is enforcing consistancy for ..." then some random file each time.. I've even reinstalled hl and cs after this happens but it still does it. Anyone know why?
