Error

My computer is giving me an error message tha says my ACPI BIOS is trying to read and write to an illeagal I/O port address. Then it says this may lead to system Instability. What the heck is wrong and what should I do? (I don't know my BIOS Manufacturer.)

clear CMOS. any recent hardware changes, or drivers?

I tried clearing it. I still get it. The latest hardware change was a new CDRW drive. But it said it before i put it in.

so, does the computer boot, or does it freeze at that screen? pull out the bios battery for 30 seconds, with the cmos jumper on clear. then, put them back.

Also , the CMOS Battery is dead.
