error when shutting down "maya'

need help
i have noticed that a few computers in my schools animation lab get an error when shuuting down maya
the error is :-
(the instruction at "0x054d50fd" refrenced memory at "0x05541f08" the memory could not be "read")
i did a memory test and all looks good
some one told me to switch the memeory chips i have 2 X 512
the error does not prevent anyone from saving stuff or even using maya .... but i feel this error could be part of something much greater
