When I open a thread, an alert box pops up with the title "AI RoboForm assertion failed" with these contents:

Assertion failed: c=0 s=-null-
GetLastError returned: 0
OS version: 5.1 build 2600 (Service Pack 2) platform=2
IE version: 6.0.2900
DLL:
EXE: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
RF version: 4-4-9
Lang:
File: D:\p\roboform\Filler\FormFiller.cpp
Line: 3121

From some research, it appears this can happen if you have Citibank Virtual Account Numbers, or some other credit card one-time number software installed. If you set forums.anandtech.com to run in "Compatibility View" (Tools menu in IE8) the errors will stop. Apparently RoboForm has sent updates to the credit card companies to fix the problem, but the banks have to implement it into their software.

Citi hasn't updated their Virtual Account Numbers app in over a year, so the problem still isn't fixed. Virtual numbers application is made by Orbiscom, who also handles MBNA and BoA's one-time use programs under the ShopSafe name.

I had the same problem and went to "tools", "compatibility view settings" then check the box that says all websites should be displayed in compatibility view. NOTE: I have Citicard with Virtual Account numbers, but after changing the compatibility view setting I have no more problems even with Citicard VAN installed.
