Error Message Trying Run GF2 Utility

Whenever I try to launch the Asus Tweak Utility (Asys V7700 GeForce2 GTS Pure) I get this error message: "Failed to access ASUS display driver or the system is in VGA 10 color mode. Program will exit."

I've tried four different color modes, same thing. Any ideas what's going on? Maybe there's something I'm supposed to do before I can run it? Using the Det. 6.47 drivers.
 
I don't have an Asus card but I believe that the Asus utility will only work if your using the Asus drivers and not the Nvidia reference drivers.
