Error closing control panel window

I have WIn98 SE and I keep getting this error after I close the control panel window: "0028:C20B5E9D in VxD IFSMGR(04) + 0000D6b9". Does anyone one know why this occurs and how i can fix this? Thanks for any kind of help.

Did you install anything befoure this happened? Is there a new icon in your control panel?

Its been a while since I saw that sort of message but from memory that is related to your network layer.

Try re-installing your ms network client and the related protocols under it.

What network layer do you have?
