If I had a time machine, I'd go back and find whoever it was that told him singing falsetto worked for him, and beat the crap out of them. White Room is a great song, but it would be even better without the stupid falsetto.
I thought it was Jack Bruce singing that. Unless there's another falsetto part I'm forgetting about.

It's completely possible that you're right. Either way, my feelings are the same.

"Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs" by Derek & The Dominos is Clapton's high water mark. Many of the songs feature Duane Allman on slide guitar either as lead or dual lead with Clapton. You've just got to hear Duane's lead on the Dominos version of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing".

agreed one of my top 10 albums

also i don't think little wing is original to hendrix

edit: wiki says i'm wrong 🙁

Eric Clapton is to Blues what KFC is to Fried Chicken.

C'mon! That's a load of crap!

Here's on of my favorites from Cream.

i took that as a compliment toward clapton, but i might have mis-interpreted

I guess you could be right. It depends on if you see KFC as bringing chicken to the masses or a cheap knock-off of fried chicken. 🙂

Check out his Crossroads boxset. It is pretty thorough as far as covering Cream, Yardbirds, Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, and solo stuff.
