ergonomically which is better, touchpad or mouse?

Personally, I'd say that the Trackpoint would be the most ergonomic pointing device. Since it's located in the middle of the keyboard, you don't have to take your hands off the keyboard to use it.

Hell, my new laptop has both a touchpad and a trackpoint, and I still mind myself going to the Trackpoint most of the time. Once you're used to the convience of it, you're hooked.

Mouse, n00b. Perhaps the Logitech trackball that uses your thumb is ergonomic too.
