I haven't watched the show in years, by the way...except reruns of the classics on TNT.
 
I like the transition between worlds. One of my friends is a medic over in Iraq right now. We were EMTs together before he enlisted, so it's kinda similar to tonight's show.

oh totally. never saw her before Bend it Like Beckham, and then *bam*, she's on ER. The wife & I just picked this show up this season, so we're n00bs, but it's great.

Pretty nuts how they're portraying it, I bet it's a lot crazier in real life. I think the Iraq doc (michael) is going to do something to try to transfer the burn victim. That Captain is a hard ass.

You picked a bad time to pick it up, from what i hear this is Dr. Carters last year on the show, and I have a feeling it will dies shortly after he leaves.

Yep, he's the last person (besides the nurses) who's actually been on the show since the beginning (without leaving, etc.).

After he leaves, the show is toast. None of these other characters have enough of a backstory/likability to carry the show.

Carter is the guy I've always rooted for. Ever since seeing the first episode of E.R. and watching Benton treat him like complete dog sh!t. He has really come a long way.
 
I've been following the show since the begining.

Great episode tonight, i find that they are starting to get quite graphic (me likey 🙂 )

They always seem to end the show at a cliff hanger, eh?
 
In other Carter news, the first time I actually shed a tear for a TV show (and will admit to it) is when Carter was flying to go to rehad after he was confronted by Chin, Benton, Green, Ansbah, and Weaver. The shot starts out with the camera focused on Carter sitting in his seat looking out the window. The camera pans back and shows Benton sitting right beside him.

I just lost it 🙁
 
Or when that guy killed off carters girlfriend (i forget her name, but she played the teenage daughter in the series, "life goes on").

Ramano losing his arm was also gold, i miss that charecter 🙁

Agreed, most people hated Ramano, but I loved how mean he was, he played a great character
 
Not really related to the show but does anyone know why the flags are backwards on the shoulder of military personel? The stars seem like they should be on the left, not on the front. Anybody know?
